Roman van Heinric en Margriete van Limborch
The Epic Adventures of a Brave Brother and Sister Across Medieval Europe
For Athenaeum–Polak & Van Gennep and with support from the Dutch Foundation for Literature, I developed a series of online videos to promote the release of the first-ever full translation of Roman van Heinric en Margriete van Limborch, the most popular chivalric romance of the Dutch Middle Ages. In the run-up to the release date, anticipation was built on social media through a series of teasers, culminating in the book trailer.
Dutch scholar and medievalist Ingrid Biesheuvel has published numerous acclaimed translations from Middle Dutch. Her translation of Roman van Heinric en Margriete van Limborch was nominated for the 2022 Filter Translation Prize.
